Original Rule Text
76. Subsequent meetings of Audit Board

Regulations on Audit and Accounts 2020
What This Means
When the Audit Board decides to guide a performance audit beyond just selecting the topic, it holds meetings at two key stages. First, it meets to consider and recommend the audit objectives, criteria, guidelines, and methodology. Second, it meets to review the draft audit report and recommend its finalization. This ensures expert oversight at both the planning and reporting stages of performance audits.

Practical Example
The Audit Board takes up a performance audit of RITES Ltd's consultancy operations. At the first meeting, it recommends that the audit should focus on project completion timelines, cost variations, and client satisfaction, using international benchmarks as criteria. After the field audit, the AG (Audit) team presents the draft report at a second Board meeting. The Board suggests strengthening the recommendation section and adding a comparison with private consultancy firms before finalization.
