I am serving in Central Government Department. I am due for superannuation with effect from 30th April, 2024 (AN). I am residing in my duty station with my family. I am planning to visit my home town with my family during January, 2024 against home town LTC for block year 2024-2025. A doubt has been raised regarding my eligibility for family home town LTC for block year 2024-2025 since my service will cease from Government department with effect from 1st May, 2024.

Please clarify, whether I am eligible for family home town LTC for the block year 2024-2025 or otherwise as it is not clarified in CCS (LTC) Rules, 1988. GS-167776P UDC, Suvendu Bhattacharya, HQ CE (P) Sewak, C/o. 99 APO

You will be entitled to avail Home Town LTC for the block year 2024-2025. However the return journey should be completed before the date of retirement as per Rule 8 read with Para. 6 of guidelines in G.I., Dept. of Per. & Trg., O.M. No. 31011/3/2015-Estt. (A.IV), dated 18-2-2016 under Rule 13 of niti's Compilation of CCS (LTC) Rules [ Cat. No. BC-11, Edition 2023 ].
