Flow Diagram -2 15.4 COLLECTION OF TAXES THROUGH PUBLIC SECTOR BANKS/PRIVATE BANKS 15.4.1 All Public/Private Sector Banks authorized under OLTAS regime have been migrated to TIN2.0-PRAKALP platform. Additionally, since the lifting of embargo of Govt. Business to Private Sector Banks in 2021, O/o Pr. CCA, CBDT after obtaining necessary approval from DGBA, RBI through O/o CGA has been issuing authorization to New Scheduled Private Sector Banks to collect direct tax on behalf of CBDT. The Refund work of Direct Taxes initially is being done through State Bank of India. Other banks may also be entrusted with this work in due course of time.
