• Question 1 of 5 1. Question Consider the following statements and a question: Question: What is the minimum possible number of persons in a queue if P, Q, and R are among them? Statement I: There are 10 persons between P and Q, and 4 persons between Q and R. Statement II: R is third from the front, and 18 people are behind P. Which one of the following is correct in respect of the Statements and the Question? a) Statement I alone is sufficient b) Statement II alone is sufficient c) Both statements together are not sufficient d) Both statements together are sufficient Correct Answer: D Explanation : Statement I: Order of P, Q, R unknown → multiple sequences possible → insufficient Statement II: R is 3rd from front, P has 18 behind → still does not clarify positions of Q or total Combine both: Try case where R is 3rd, then Q and P must follow. Try R-Q-P arrangement: → 2 + R + 4 + Q + 10 + P + 18 = 2 + 1 + 4 + 1 + 10 + 1 + 18 = 37 Hence, both together are sufficient Incorrect Answer: D Explanation : Statement I: Order of P, Q, R unknown → multiple sequences possible → insufficient Statement II: R is 3rd from front, P has 18 behind → still does not clarify positions of Q or total Combine both: Try case where R is 3rd, then Q and P must follow. #### 1. Question

Consider the following statements and a question:

Question: What is the minimum possible number of persons in a queue if P, Q, and R are among them?

Statement I: There are 10 persons between P and Q, and 4 persons between Q and R. Statement II: R is third from the front, and 18 people are behind P.

Which one of the following is correct in respect of the Statements and the Question?

• a) Statement I alone is sufficient

• b) Statement II alone is sufficient

• c) Both statements together are not sufficient

• d) Both statements together are sufficient

Answer: D

Explanation :

• Statement I: Order of P, Q, R unknown → multiple sequences possible → insufficient

• Statement II: R is 3rd from front, P has 18 behind → still does not clarify positions of Q or total

Combine both:

Try case where R is 3rd, then Q and P must follow. Try R-Q-P arrangement: → 2 + R + 4 + Q + 10 + P + 18 = 2 + 1 + 4 + 1 + 10 + 1 + 18 = 37

Hence, both together are sufficient

• Question 2 of 5 2. Question Consider the sequence AB_CC_A_BCCC_BBC_C that follows a certain pattern. Which one of the following completes the sequence? a) B, C, B, C, A b) A, C, B, C, A c) B, C, B, A, C d) C, B, B, A, C Correct Answer: C Solution Given: AB_CC_A_BCCC_BBC_C Since, there are 18 letters in the series, we can divide them in groups of 6 or 3. Dividing them in groups of 6, we get: [ A B _ C C _ ] ; [ A _ B C C C ] ; [ _ B B C _ C ] The pattern being repeated is ABBCCC. So, we can fill in the blanks as follows: [ A B B C C C ] ; [ A B B C C C ] ; [ A B B C C C ] Therefore, the required letters to complete the sequence are: B, C, B, A, C Incorrect Answer: C Solution Given: AB_CC_A_BCCC_BBC_C Since, there are 18 letters in the series, we can divide them in groups of 6 or 3. AB_CC_A_BCCC_BBC_C that follows a certain pattern. Which one of the following completes the sequence?

• a) B, C, B, C, A

• b) A, C, B, C, A

• c) B, C, B, A, C

• d) C, B, B, A, C

Answer: C

Solution

Given: AB_CC_A_BCCC_BBC_C

Since, there are 18 letters in the series, we can divide them in groups of 6 or 3. Dividing them in groups of 6, we get:

[ A B _ C C _ ] ; [ A _ B C C C ] ; [ _ B B C _ C ]

The pattern being repeated is ABBCCC. So, we can fill in the blanks as follows:

[ A B B C C C ] ; [ A B B C C C ] ; [ A B B C C C ]

Therefore, the required letters to complete the sequence are: B, C, B, A, C

Answer: C

• Question 3 of 5 3. Question To travel meaningfully is not merely to change geography, but to undergo a subtle shift in perception. It compels us to step outside the language and habits that shape our native worldview. Often, it is not the monuments or museums that stay with the traveller, but the simple acts of hospitality, the unfamiliar gestures of politeness, or the silent dignity of strangers going about their lives. These moments blur the line between the familiar and the foreign. In doing so, travel teaches us that empathy is not agreement, and understanding does not require similarity. Rather, the essence of human connection lies in recognizing the shared dignity beneath diverse expressions. To travel well, then, is to witness how difference reveals deeper commonality. According to the passage, meaningful travel primarily helps a person to: (a) Compare cultural practices to decide which is superior (b) Develop a sense of national pride in one’s own identity (c) Appreciate the dignity and humanity underlying cultural differences (d) Understand foreign languages and customs with fluency Correct Answer: c Explanation: Option (a) is incorrect: The passage discourages judgment or comparison; it speaks of empathy and shared dignity, not superiority. Option (b) is incorrect: National pride is not mentioned. The focus is on empathy beyond one’s identity. Option (c) is correct: The line “difference reveals deeper commonality” directly supports this. Travel teaches recognition of dignity beneath diversity. Option (d) is incorrect: The passage uses language and customs as metaphors. It does not stress literal fluency but a perceptual and emotional shift. Incorrect Answer: c Explanation: Option (a) is incorrect: The passage discourages judgment or comparison; it speaks of empathy and shared dignity, not superiority.

• Question 5 of 5 5. Question The fashion industry, driven by fast-changing trends and low-cost mass production, has become one of the most resource-intensive and polluting sectors in the world. Each year, millions of garments end up in landfills, many of which are made from synthetic fibres that take centuries to decompose. While sustainable fashion is gaining popularity, it remains a niche, largely unaffordable to the average consumer. Unless production cycles slow down and consumer choices align with long-term environmental goals, the industry will continue to promote short-term aesthetics at the cost of long-term sustainability. Q.60) *Which of the following statements best reflects/reflect the most logical and rational inference/inferences that can be made from the passage? The current model of fashion production is incompatible with ecological sustainability. Widespread adoption of sustainable fashion is limited by both economic and cultural factors. Select the correct answer using the code given below: a) 1 only b) 2 only c) Both 1 and 2 d) Neither 1 nor 2 Correct Answer: C Explanation: Statement 1 is correct. The passage describes the fashion industry as resource-intensive and polluting, implying a structural contradiction with sustainability. Statement 2 is also correct. It mentions that sustainable fashion is popular but niche and unaffordable, pointing to economic limitations. Cultural factors are implicit in the reference to fast-changing trends. Hence, option (c) is correct. Incorrect Answer: C Explanation: Statement 1 is correct.
