Question Find the missing term in the following series. 912, 600, 444, 366, ? a) 327 b) 317 c) 312 d) 302 Correct Answer: A Explanation Let the missing number be x. 912 – 600 = 312 600 – 444 = 156 444 – 366 = 78 So, 366 – x = 39 Or x = 366 – 39 = 327 Incorrect Answer: A Explanation Let the missing number be x. 912 – 600 = 312 600 – 444 = 156 444 – 366 = 78 So, 366 – x = 39 Or x = 366 – 39 = 327
#### 3. Question
Find the missing term in the following series.
912, 600, 444, 366, ?
Explanation
Let the missing number be x.
912 – 600 = 312
600 – 444 = 156
444 – 366 = 78
So, 366 – x = 39
Or x = 366 – 39 = 327
Explanation
Let the missing number be x.
912 – 600 = 312
600 – 444 = 156
444 – 366 = 78
So, 366 – x = 39

• Question 4 of 5 4. Question In a fair, four friends P, Q, R and S participated in a game and won some toys. P got one less toy than Q, R got 5 more toys than S, and S got 3 more toys than Q. Who got the highest number of toys? a) P b) Q c) R d) S Correct Answer: C Explanation Let the number of toys with P be p, with Q be q, with R be r, and with S be s. Given, p = q – 1; r = s + 5; s = q +3 So, r = q + 8 (using, s = q + 3) And, r = p + 9 (using, p = q – 1) Hence, it is clear that R has the maximum number of toys. Incorrect Answer: C Explanation Let the number of toys with P be p, with Q be q, with R be r, and with S be s. Given, p = q – 1; r = s + 5; s = q +3 So, r = q + 8 (using, s = q + 3) And, r = p + 9 (using, p = q – 1) Hence, it is clear that R has the maximum number of toys.
