UPSC Indian Forest Service Mains Result 2025 Declared
The Union Public Service Commission has officially declared the Indian Forest Service (IFoS) Mains Examination 2025 Result on 24 February 2026. Candidates who appeared for the written examination conducted from 16 November to 23 November 2025 can now check whether they have qualified for the next stage — the Personality Test (Interview).

IFoS Mains 2025: What the Result Means
The result contains the roll numbers of candidates who have qualified for the Indian Forest Service Personality Test 2025. The candidature of all shortlisted candidates is provisional and subject to verification of eligibility conditions including age, educational qualification, reservation claims and other documents.
The interviews will be conducted at the UPSC Office, Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi. The detailed interview schedule and e-Summon Letters will be uploaded on the official UPSC websites:

Important Instructions for Qualified Candidates
Candidates who have cleared the written stage must carefully comply with the following mandatory requirements:
• Produce original certificates for age, educational qualification, community, EWS, PwBD and other reservation categories. • Upload proof of passing the requisite qualifying examination. • Update Online Application Form fields within the prescribed window. • Ensure all documents were issued before the closing date of application i.e. 21 February 2025.
Mandatory OAF Update Window
OAF Update Period: 27 February 2026 to 13 March 2026 till 6:00 PM
As per the Indian Forest Service Examination Rules 2025, UPSC has provided a 15-day mandatory update window for candidates qualified for the Personality Test. During this period, candidates must:
• Update educational qualification status • Upload proof of passing required degree • Update correspondence or permanent address • Submit employment details and service experience • Provide achievement details if applicable • Confirm attempts and earlier examination details • Submit OBC or EWS annexure if applicable
Failure to update and submit the required information within the deadline will lead to cancellation of candidature and the candidate will not be allowed to appear for the interview.
Cadre Preference Rules for IFoS 2025
Cadre allocation is a crucial stage in the Indian Forest Service selection process. Candidates will be required to indicate their order of preference for State Cadres including their Home State when the Commission asks for it.
Once submitted, no change in cadre preference will be permitted. Allocation will be done as per the cadre allotment policy in force at the time of final result declaration, giving due consideration to the candidate’s preferences and rank.
e-Summon Letter and Interview Schedule
The Personality Test schedule and e-Summon Letter will be made available online. No physical summon letters will be sent. Candidates who face issues downloading the e-Summon Letter may contact UPSC through:

Requests for change in interview date and time will ordinarily not be entertained.
When Will Marks Be Released?
UPSC will upload the marksheets of all candidates within 15 days after the final result is declared following the completion of interviews. The marks will remain available on the website for 30 days.
Important Note
As per the official notice, the result of one petitioner candidate has been kept in sealed cover in compliance with an interim order of the Hon’ble Gujarat High Court dated 15 October 2025.
