Snappy Reads: Is it really worth it?

We often ask this question when considering an expensive purchase like a luxury perfume, pen, etc. Or, would you frequently spend on costly coffees, burgers, and sandwiches before you’re financially independent? Probably not. You wonder, “Is it worth it?” to weigh the decision before buying, right?

Now, How if you ask….

Is it really worth getting stressed about the limited time left for an exam?

Is it really worth diving into a completely new resource on the same topic or subject?

Is it really worth pulling an all-nighter to complete the syllabus?

Is it really worth dwelling on the past, ignoring the present, and repeating the cycle of regret in the future?

Of course, NO, Right??!!!

Okay, Let’s pause to reflect on the below:

• Think of the marathon runner who wakes up at dawn every day to train, not because every day is perfect, but because every step brings them closer to the finish line. If you ask is it really worth it? Absolutely.

• Imagine a gardener who waters their plants daily, patiently waiting for the first bloom. They might not see immediate results, but they know their consistent efforts will eventually lead to a beautiful garden. Is their patience worth it? Without a doubt.

• Consider an artist who spends hours perfecting their craft, often redoing the same piece multiple times until it’s just right. Is their perseverance worth it? The masterpiece they create says it all.

Keep asking yourself such questions to stay calm and focused. You do not need to make this a formal process but do not let it slide either.

Do not throw your good time after a bad day or tough moment.

Remember, you are doing great!

Remember to appreciate yourself! If not you, then who else will?
