Context: As part of the National Green Hydrogen Mission, the Union Government has sanctioned three pilot projects aimed at using hydrogen in steel production.

About National Green Hydrogen Mission:

Budget: Outlay of ₹19,744 crore up to FY 2029-30 for green hydrogen initiatives.

Objectives: Establish India as a global hub for green hydrogen production, utilization, and export. Foster decarbonization across industries, especially steel, mobility, and energy sectors.
