• Question 2 of 5 2. Question The sum of the first 20 terms of an AP whose first term and third term are 25 and 35, respectively is (a) 1200 (b) 1250 (c) 1400 (d) 1450 Correct Ans-d a = 25, a + 2d= 35 means d =5. The 20th term would be a + 19d= 25 +95 = 120. The sum of the series would be given by: |20/2] x [25 + 120]= 1450. Option (d) is correct. Incorrect Ans-d a = 25, a + 2d= 35 means d =5. The 20th term would be a + 19d= 25 +95 = 120. The sum of the series would be given by: |20/2] x [25 + 120]= 1450. Option (d) is correct.

• Question 3 of 5 3. Question A number 39 is divided into three parts which are in A.P. and the sum of their squares is 515. Find the largest (a) 17 (b) 15 (c) 13 (d) 11 Correct Ans-b The three parts are 11, 13 and 15 since 112 + 132 +152 =515. Since, we want the largest number, the answer would be 15. Option (b) is correct. Incorrect Ans-b The three parts are 11, 13 and 15 since 112 + 132 +152 =515. Since, we want the largest number, the answer would be 15. Option (b) is correct.
