Dubai, UAE News Live Updates: An Indian national is among two persons who tragically lost their lives following a ballistic missile interception over Abu Dhabi on Thursday, even as Iran-US-Israel war entered its 27th day. One Indian national is also injured in the incident. In a post on X, the Abu Dhabi Media Office stated that the fatalities occurred “as part of the ongoing follow-up to the previously reported incident caused by falling debris following the successful interception of a ballistic missile by air defence systems.”
The biggest development coming from the warfront is possible talks between the US and Iran. While Iran Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi acknowledged an indirect “exchange of messages” with the US, he denied that they amounted to negotiations. Meanwhile, the impact of the war in Dubai and the UAE was conspicuous with the constant barrage of missile exchanges. On Thursday, at least two people were killed in Abu Dhabi, and three were injured after debris from missile interceptions hit them.
So far, there has been no sign of any abatement of the attacks. Countries such as Kuwait, Bahrain and the UAE are intermittently sounding alarms and have warned residents to seek shelter.

The plan included limits on Tehran’s defence capabilities, a cessation of support for proxies and an acknowledgement of Israel’s right to exist, the sources said, CNN reported. However, Iran, in response to the US’s plan, outlined five conditions for ending the war. It includes assurances that hostilities will not resume, compensation for war damages and reparations, and that the war should be concluded for all Iranian proxies throughout the region, which includes Israel’s attacks on Lebanon that target Hezbollah.
In attacks on Gulf nations, the UAE Ministry of Defence confirmed its systems are intercepting incoming missiles and drones, with authorities confirming that the loud explosions were linked to mid-air interceptions. “UAE air defences are currently responding to incoming missile and drone threats from Iran. MOD asserts that the sounds heard are the result of the Air Defence Systems intercepting missiles and drones”, the ministry said in a post on X.
