‘Cut off the head of the snake’: US military says headquarters of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps destroyed in Iran

The United States military last night confirmed that it has destroyed the headquarters of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in a large-scale US strike.

Sharing the video of the moment the headquarters turned into rubble, the official X handle of US Central Command stated, “The Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) killed more than 1,000 Americans over the past 47 years. Yesterday, a large-scale U.S. strike cut off the head of the snake. America has the most powerful military on earth, and the IRGC no longer has a headquarters.”
Israel Defense Forces (IDF) last night announced that the military conducted a new wave of airstrikes against Iranian regime targets “in the heart of Tehran.”
Israel also launched attacks on Iran’s military sites in Isfahan, Qom, Karaj, Kermanshah, Lorestan, and Tabriz. Iranian naval facilities in Kenarak in the south of the country were also attacked. A video sent to the BBC from the small city of Kamyaran shows that an IRGC base was bombed.
The war that has entered its third day Monday has killed at least 153 people, including children after a reported strike hit a school in southern Iran, according to Iranian officials, reports BBC.
Major blow came to Iran on Sunday when a joint attack by US and Israel, killed the country’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Israel attacks Lebanon
Quoting Saudi-owned outlet Al-Arabiya, The Times of Israel, said that Mohammad Raad, head of Hezbollah’s bloc in the Lebanese parliament, is among at least ten people killed in Israeli airstrikes.
Israel’s response comes after Hezbollah launched rockets and drones at Israel from Lebanon overnight to avenge the attack on Iran and killing of Khamenei.
